DraftKings reported earnings Thursday, and in a letter to shareholders CEO Jason Robins sounded a bullish note: “We are off to a fantastic start to the year,” noting that sportsbook revenue saw a 24% year-over-year jump. Quarterly revenue was $1.65 billion, a 17% increase from a year ago that beat Wall Street’s forecasts for $1.63 billion. Development of DraftKings Predictions, the firm’s prediction market platform, continues to be a priority.

The online sports betting company posted a profit of $21.1 million on strong engagement from a growing roster of customers.
